Dortmund stun PSG to reach Champions League final
Sancho stars as German side edge first leg
Borussia Dortmund continued their incredible run in this season's Champions League by reaching the final after stunning Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the first leg of their semi-final.
Jadon Sancho was the star of the show for Dortmund, scoring the only goal of the game in the 77th minute. The English winger was a constant threat to the PSG defence throughout the match, and his goal was a just reward for his performance.
Dortmund's victory was all the more impressive given that they were without their star striker Erling Haaland. The Norwegian forward is the Champions League's top scorer this season, but he was ruled out of the match with a knee injury.
Despite Haaland's absence, Dortmund were able to create a number of chances against a PSG side that included Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Angel Di Maria. The German side were also solid defensively, and they limited PSG to just a few clear-cut chances.
The victory gives Dortmund a slender advantage ahead of the second leg in Paris next week. However, PSG will be confident of overturning the deficit given their impressive home record in the Champions League this season.
