Swiatek extends winning streak to 10 matches
Iga Swiatek continued her dominance of women's tennis with a comprehensive 6-3 6-2 victory over world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the semi-finals of the WTA Finals in Cancun on Friday.
The Pole extended her winning streak to 10 matches and will face Jessica Pegula in the final on Saturday.
Swiatek, who won the French Open and US Open earlier this year, was in ruthless form as she broke Sabalenka's serve four times to win the match in just 73 minutes.
The Belarusian has now lost all three of her matches against Swiatek this year
By making the final, Swiatek and Sabalenka have assured themselves 650 ranking points and $512,260 in prize money. A win on Saturday would give the winner a total take of 1000 points and $1,041,500.
