Detailed Results

The counting of votes for seven assembly seats in six states was completed on Friday. The bypolls were held to fill vacant seats caused by resignations, deaths, and disqualifications.

In Kerala, the Congress candidate, Mathew Kuzhalnadan, defeated his nearest rival, K. Surendran of the BJP, by a margin of over 10,000 votes. This victory is seen as a major boost for the Congress party, which has been facing a series of setbacks in recent months.

In Rajasthan, the BJP won two of the three bypoll seats. The party's candidates, Shobha Rani Kushwaha and Madan Dilawar, won in Dhanpur and Boxanagar, respectively. The Congress candidate, Ratan Lal Jat, won in Mandawa.

In Uttarakhand, the BJP's Parwati Dass won the Bageshwar assembly bypoll by a margin of over 5,000 votes. Dass defeated his nearest rival, Bhuvan Chandra Kapri of the Congress party.

In West Bengal, the TMC candidate, Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, won the Ballygunge assembly bypoll by a margin of over 20,000 votes. This victory is seen as a major setback for the BJP, which had been hoping to make inroads into the state.
